AI Policy and Regulation
Shaping an enabling AI policy landscape globally
The GSMA AI4I team works with industry and members around the world to help shape an enabling global AI policy landscape.
As AI use and integration accelerates, the GSMA works to communicate the critical role that the telecoms sector plays in the the development and use of AI, and the ways in which the sector can work with policymakers and regulators to realise the benefits of AI for society, industry and government.
The GSMA represents the mobile industry in work with international institutions on AI, such as the OECD and UNESCO and supports advocacy activities around the world. We also develop resources and conducts global monitoring to support members on key policy topics, and in their own work.
Our work is always informed by our members through policy and regulatory sub-group (find out more here) to ensure it reflects geographical and business nuances.
