Huawei – 0 Bit 0 Watt 0 Loss: Green solutions to enable optimal experience and energy efficiency

In order to reach the mobile net zero targets by 2050, set up by the GSMA, operators globally are working to seek more energy saving solutions. On one hand, networks are carrying ever more services. Besides energy saving, network KPI, such as latency, throughput and reliability should also be guaranteed.

To explore the potential for balancing user experience and energy consumption, Huawei has investigated “0 Bit 0 Watt 0 Loss” energy-saving solutions. This systematic green solution maximises the energy efficiency of equipment, sites, and networks without compromising user experience in any scenario.

A digital infographic details Huawei's "0 Bit 0 Watt 0 Loss" wireless network solution, highlighting energy efficiency with illustrated network towers, data flow, and segmented boxes on innovations in network, ambient site, and equipment optimization. Huawei logo is visible.

  • At the equipment level, the GigaGreen solution combines constantly-efficient power amplifier hardware with 24/7 energy-saving algorithms, improving the comprehensive energy efficiency by 30% while maintaining excellent user experience.
  •
  • At the site level, the Ambient Site solution dynamically adapts power supply to service needs through site-wide digitalisation, ensuring optimal user experience and energy efficiency.
  • At the network level, Watt Master utilizes digital twin and other intelligent technologies for multi-objective optimization, achieving a 10% energy saving gain without affecting network performance.

Since launch in 2024, more than 30 leading operators in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Latin America and Africa have verified Huawei’s 0 Bit 0 Watt 0 Loss solution with 1.4 million base stations on live networks.
