The GSMA Innovation Fund for Climate Resilience and Adaptation (launched in 2022) was designed to help accelerate the testing, adoption and scalability of digital innovations that enable the world’s most vulnerable populations to adapt, anticipate and absorb the negative impacts of climate change. 12 successful startups from 10 countries were selected for our first round of the Fund. This case study shares lessons and outcomes from the project with Hello Tractor– a startup based in Nigeria, and supported by the GSMA Innovation Fund for Climate Resilience and Adaptation.

Hello Tractor‘s digital platform connects tractor owners and farmers through a farm equipment-sharing app and a GPS fleet management solution, assisting farming communities in Nigeria to improve planning and preparedness amidst unpredictable weather conditions.

Three men in navy uniforms work on a green tractor in an outdoor setting. Beside them, an infographic lists achievements: 17.7k people reached, 3,541 farmers supported by SMS, 2,425 hectares serviced, and 10 agents financed to buy tractors.
