GSMA @ The Global Privacy Assembly 2025 Seoul
GSMA will be attending the 2025 Global Privacy Assembly (GPA) in Seoul, and we look forward to meeting with Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) to discuss the implementation of smart data privacy laws, cross-border data flows, AI, Open Gateway and cybersecurity (fraud and scams).
The GSMA team will be hosting a breakfast briefing and a drop-in room for bilateral meetings, informal chats and to share more information on the GSMA and developments in the mobile industry.

This session will showcase the critical role that Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) play in combating digital scams, enabling digital identity verification and safeguarding data privacy through telco innovations such as APIs. We will explore the challenges and opportunities associated with scam prevention, the evolving arms race between scammers and defenders, and how multi-stakeholder collaboration and interoperable frameworks are key in tackling these issues.
