10:00 – 10:30 – Expanding revenue streams in finance and telco: APIs, integration and collaboration
Africa’s unbanked population needs access to digital inclusion through solutions like M-Pesa, which facilitate growth in transactions. Vodafone’s Identity Hub ensures secure transactions using APIs to detect scam calls and verify SIM swaps, helping to control fraud. Vodafone has been pioneering in the fintech space, adding value for telcos.
Adyen discusses how telco solutions are moving towards embedded finance, enabling SMB to access connectivity and lending services directly from telcos instead of third parties. This untapped market, currently at 20%, has the potential to grow to 50% revenue, from networks to iPhones facilitating seamless payment experiences for underserved markets.
