Identity and Data Community Forum #23
Our next Identity and Data Community Forum #23 will be taking place on Thursday 8th October, 14:00 –15:30 BST via Microsoft Teams.
The session will focus on two key themes: Phone Number Verification and Business Identity Vetting.
As the mobile industry advances the use of network capabilities to strengthen online security, real-world learnings from the deployments of Phone Number Verification will be shared. Google presentation will cover ecosystem and developer insights, including the transition beyond SMS OTP, launch timelines, production performance trends, and practical lessons across network readiness, user experience and developer adoption.
The forum will also explore the latest developments in verifying business identities across telecom networks and channels, helping to give consumers greater confidence when interacting with vetted brands. As GSMA Open Verifiable Communications develops a secure global framework to help people identify legitimate business calls and messages, Telefónica will update on the programme and Gated Networks will describe how a global business vetting framework may interoperate with the US communications ecosystem. Open exclusively to GSMA members, the forum provides an opportunity to hear the latest industry insights and connect with the wider community.
