Overview

5G-Advanced is set to bring about a step change in network performance, while driving a major expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT), and enabling the integration of satellite services and artificial intelligence. A key area for Qualcomm is developing Reduced Capability (RedCap) 5G, which will make it much more cost-effective and power efficient to connect many more devices, from low-end laptops and cameras to watches and other wearables.  Qualcomm is also exploring how the new capabilities provided by 5G-Advanced will deliver cost efficiencies that increase mobile operators’ profitability and improve customisation through network slicing. To find out more, watch the discussion with Sunil Patil, Vice President of Product Management at Qualcomm.
