DX Acceleration Forum Webinar – Sustainable Digital Transformation & Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

Start: Thursday 30 March 2023 15:30

End: Thursday 30 March 2023 17:00

Venue: Online (GMT+8)

Sustainable digital transformation and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) are two important topics shaping the economic landscape today. The telco sector plays a critical role in helping to drive digital transformation of organizations, industries, societies and the wider economy.  ESG is a set of criteria that investors use to assess a company’s performance and potential for value creation over the long term, taking into account the impact of environmental, social, and governance factors.

The relationship between digital transformation and ESG has become increasingly important in recent years, as digital technologies have the potential to impact ESG factors. For instance, digital technologies can be used to improve supply chain transparency, reduce energy consumption, and enhance employee engagement.  Other potential benefits of digital transformation for ESG are, for example, the use of digital technologies to help companies reduce their carbon footprint by automating manual processes, improving supply chain visibility, and enabling remote work.

To ensure that digital transformation initiatives are aligned with ESG principles, many organizations including MNOs are eagerly trying to take a more responsible and sustainable approach. This includes considering the environmental impact of their technology choices, ensuring that their digital products and services are designed with privacy and ethical considerations in mind, and taking steps to minimize the environmental impact of their operations.

This virtual seminar will bring together executive speakers and panelists from pioneering MNOs, ecosystem players and industry leaders to share their insights and experiences related to driving sustainable digital transformation whilst embracing ESG initiatives touching on the following areas:

  • GSMA’s ESG Metrics for Mobile Operators
  • DX and operation of sustainable networks in the 5G era
  • ESG initiatives of leading digitally transforming MNOs
  • ESG initiatives of leading DX ecosystem players
  • ESG integration into business DX strategy

This virtual seminar is limited for DX Acceleration Forum members only.
