Driving Practical AI Transformation Across the Industry 

The GSMA AI4I Taskforce sub-group ‘AI in Action’ brings together mobile operators and partners to accelerate AI transformation across the telecoms industry. It explores how AI can deliver value for telcos, through enhanced efficiency, smarter networks and improved customer experiences, as well as how telcos can play a critical role in enabling AI across the wider digital economy.​

As AI adoption expands, the group investigates both “AI for telcos” and “telco for AI” pathways. It addresses how operators can strengthen internal capabilities across infrastructure, data, and talent, while also supporting AI use beyond the core, through trusted connectivity, intelligent networks, and edge infrastructure.​

Through collaborative research, working groups and deep dives, the initiative helps define what it means to become an AI-centric telco. The goal is to ensure members are equipped to lead, and benefit from, the AI era.​
