Google search is one of the most important ways to seek out information online and understanding how to use this search engine is critical to navigating the internet today.

By the end of this module, your trainees will:

• Understand what Google is and the wide range of content available to them.
• Be able to search for content on Google and be familiar with the different components of the results page.
• Be able to search on Google using the microphone option instead of typing.
• Understand the safety implications of using Google and know how best to react in a variety of situations.
• Understand how much it costs to use Google versus other online activities.
• Recognise the different Google icons and know what they mean.
