OPG.11 – Operator Platform Requirements for Edge Services

This specification defines the realisation of Edge Compute services based on the Operator Platform Architecture. It provides use cases and requirements, covering among others detailed requirements for the platform interfaces that are specific to such a services, including the Southbound Interfaces for the management of compute resources and edge interconnection networks. It also describes service flows detailing how the platform and its interfaces those could be used to cover various scenarios related to offering edge services.This new version provides a high-level model description of edge federation and clarification on security requirements. Next to that, it covers the detailed requirements on the handling of application session relocation following user mobility that were originally defined as part of the overall Operator Platform requirements.
