OPG.02 – Operator Platform: Requirements and Architecture

Resource thumbnail

The Operator Platform aims to provide a unified solution for operators to offer their network capabilities as a service to enterprise customers and developers. Leveraging its federation capabilities, the platform enables these customers to connect to a single interface, granting access to the capabilities of all federated networks.

The architecture of the Operator Platform underpins the implementation of Open Gateway services within operator networks. This updated version of the requirements and architecture enhances the platform by defining how the operational interface between an Aggregator or Marketplace and the Operator Platform would be integrated into the architecture and what requirements there would be for that interface. Additionally, it introduces requirements and architectural approaches for additional vetting of an Application’s and Application Provider’s identity details and brings requirements for alignment of the error handling across services. Finally the focus of the document was improved by moving out the requirements on Application relocation following user mobility to be covered as part of the requirements for the edge service instead while detailed flows on consent handling were moved to the Open Gateway technical realisation.
