The GSMA Mobile Money programme attended the African Mobile Phone Financial Services Policy Initiative (AMPI) meetings. Emphasis was placed on the importance of public-private dialogue for the development of the mobile money ecosystem, working with regulators to encourage openness and flexibility in an effort to encourage new players to innovate.
