With the focus on All-IP Communications in the Network 2020 Programme and the significance of Mobile All-IP Communication to operators and consumers, the research arm of the GSMA – GSMA Intelligence (GSMAi) – is developing a research report on IP-Communications, or ‘Enriched Calling’. The report will cover a number of key topics:
• Clarify the meaning of Enriched Calling
• Address the technological and business challenges associated with Enriched Calling, and to discuss its importance to the industry
• Review the progress to date of the core components of Enriched Calling (VoLTE and IP-Messaging/RCS)
• Analyse the major variables which are expected to influence the development between now and 2020
When published, the report will be publicly available. Details of how to access the report will be posted on the Network 2020 website towards the end of February 2015.
