Enriched communication solutions offering innovative B-2-B opportunities gave operators some insights into the potential for expanding their propositions. The Network 2020 Programme showed off the breadth and depth of All-IP solutions for commercial and retail applications for Rich Communications and VoLTE capabilities with demonstrations from Huawei and Comverse in the retail zone of the GSMA’s Innovation City railway station.
Huawei exhibited VoLTE HD Video Calls and VoLTE handover to VoWiFi with an e-Commerce experience using the location of a flower shop for customer purchases at the GSMA’s railway station. This application could easily be transported to other retail activities.
Comverse demonstrated a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system which builds a stronger more relevant customer experience between a user and SME (Small Medium Enterprise) business, using the capabilities of RCS and VoLTE. The tool offered an added benefit allowing tracking of KPI targets for usage, communication and conversion for the SME business. This type of feature package could make a significant value-added proposition for the operator to offer business customers.
