Digital Inclusion Week for the Arab States

This event was held on 23-28 September 2018 and organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). It build on the success of the earlier ITU-UNESCO Regional Information Communication Technology (ICT) Accessibility Week for Arab States organized by the same entities in September 2017 and was an opportunity to raise awareness, strengthen collaboration amongst stakeholders and advance the shared commitment across the Arab region.

Ammar Hamadien, Head of Strategic Engagement MENA, Government and Regulatory Affairs moderated a session titled, Economies of Scale in Public Education: from Policy to Practice’. He also spoke at the ‘m-Education’ session moderated by Dr. Mirna Barbar, Programme Management Officer, Technology Development Division at UNESCWA (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia).
