The GSMA hosted a virtual workshop on Smart Cities on April 16 2020, in collaboration with AIM Congress Dubai and the UAE Ministry of Economy. The workshop highlighted the important role of connectivity in Smart City solutions, especially against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing initiatives by various governments and businesses to tackle the disease.
Mobile operators are at the forefront of delivering ubiquitous and reliable connectivity, as well as enabling transformative technologies, such as AI and IoT, that will underpin future Smart City solutions.
The live session attracted 150 live attendees from around the world.
