eID: a key to business growth and innovation

Start: Wednesday 19 November 2014

End: Wednesday 19 November 2014

Venue: Metropole Hotel

The European Commission, with the support of Member States, is organising a workshop on the 19th November in Brussels to give industry leaders the opportunity to influence how the implementation of the eIDAS regulation should be handled and what they need to see in place. Leaders responsible for eID want and need to understand what is important to industry so that cross border use of eID will become “business as usual”.

The objectives of the workshop are to:

  • Understand industry needs, collecting input from the private sector about what they want to see included and excluded in the implementation of the Regulation in order to generate growth and innovation
  • Raise awareness of the possibilities for growth and innovation from cross border e-ID use
  • Showcase private sector use cases for cross border eID

The GSMA and its members are participating at this event, which will bring together leaders from the industry to hear from their peers and counterparts in a number of market sectors. Delegates will learn how eID across borders can be leveraged to innovate and achieve business growth.
