In North America, major US operators, including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, collaborated on cross-carrier interoperable API tests to enhance drone public safety connectivity. This initiative was conducted within the GSMA’s Open Gateway framework, with the operators partnering with Inspired Flight Technologies (IFT) developers. Additionally, Verizon utilized its membership with MITRE Engenuity, a technology foundation, to test a device status API.
