Cameron Coursey

Vice President, AT&T Connected Solutions

Cameron Coursey, Vice President – AT&T Connected Solutions, leads product, engineering, and
operations for AT&T’s IoT business. Along with managing AT&T’s current, industry-leading IoT business, AT&T Connected Solutions has a dedicated focus on creating future-oriented mobility capabilities from ideation to scale.

Cameron also acts as chief technical advisor for Internet of Things, providing the vision and direction
for new network, provisioning, billing, application, SIM, and device capabilities. His prior leadership roles included developing and executing the strategy for transformational AT&T Business platforms and products including Mobility Network Services, 5G, Multi-Edge Compute, Private Cellular Networks, as well as portfolio simplification efforts and software-as-a-service implementations for all AT&T Business products.

Cameron has recently authored the book The Practitioner’s Guide to Cellular IoT, describing the
technology and use cases for the Internet of Things. He has multiple U.S. patents covering intelligent
roaming for handsets and methods to implement private in-building systems that use wireless
spectrum and technology.

He began his commercial wireless career at SBC Technology Resources, Inc., where he worked on
technology for sharing spectrum between PCS and fixed wireless, early wireless packet data field trials for Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems, and network planning for new wireless opportunities for SBC in Southeast Asia.

Cameron received both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering
from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Chris McKenna

Global Head of Business Development, Private Wireless, Amazon Web Services

Chris is the Global Head of Business Development for Private Wireless at Amazon Web Services. Sitting in the Telecoms Business Unit, Chris’s focus is on helping telecoms partners to build private wireless solutions built upon AWS. These solutions are vertically focused and target many industry verticals including Manufacturing and Automotive.

Bill Lambertson

VP, Global Telecommunications and Media Industry, IBM

Bill is an IBM Distinguished Industry Leader and currently the Vice President for Cloud, 5G and Edge solutions within IBM’s global Telecommunications Industry. In a prior role, he was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for IBM’s Systems and Technology Group. With more than 30 years of leadership roles in the telecommunications industry, Bill is recognized as a deep industry expert in telecommunications. He has held several global executive roles across the Telecommunications & Media Industries at IBM.

Steve Schwinke

Vice President of Customer Engagement, Sibros

Steve Schwinke is the Vice President of Customer Engagement at Sibros working closely with OEMs and Tier One suppliers to accelerate their connected vehicle solutions. Sibros’ award-winning Deep Connectivity Platform enables OEMs with a single system for whole vehicle over the air (OTA) software updates, deep data collection and remote commands. Prior to joining Sibros Mr. Schwinke spent 2 years at Tech Mahindra as their Global Head of Connected Vehicles and 22 years as an Executive at General Motors OnStar and was elected to the Executive Board of Directors of the Telecommunication Industry Association. As an original member of the OnStar team, he developed many of the industry’s first products and services. Steve has been awarded 35 patents involving telecommunications, telematics, and navigation.

Steve holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Michigan and a Master Degree in Communication Systems from Santa Clara University.

Kenta Yasukawa

Cofounder & CTO, Soracom

Kenta Yasukawa is CTO and co-founder of Soracom, where he has led deployment of the industry’s most advanced cloud-native telecom platform, designed specifically for the needs of connected devices. Before co-founding Soracom, Kenta served as a solutions architect with AWS and conducted research for connected homes and cars at Ericsson Research in Tokyo and Stockholm. Kenta holds a Ph.D. in engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, with additional studies in computer science at Columbia University’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Senior Technical Director, Smart Mobility Lead, GSMA

Since 2014, she has been the technical lead for several areas of focus within the GSMA such as 5G, IoT, automotive, aviation and more. Looking at how to best utilise new technologies and services from the constantly evolving mobile networks, like 5G-Advanced.

Barbara is also leading several activities and communities with the GSMA members, like the activities related to smart mobility, including automotive and advanced air mobility. The latter by leading the GSMA Drone Interest Group and the Aerial Connectivity Joint Activity, to investigate and help the mobile industry to create a trusted solution for commercial unmanned aircraft. Exploring features and capabilities of 4G and 5G needed for the aviation.

Barbara has over 20 years of experience in the mobile industry. Before joining the GSMA, Barbara worked in R&D in several areas of telecommunications. She also participates and actively contributed to, several standards.

Peter Musgrove

Lead Member of Technical Staff, AT&T

Mr. Peter Musgrove is a Lead Member of Technical Staff at AT&T with 33 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He started his career with Bell Communications Research (Bellcore) in 1986 in Red Bank, NJ where he developed generic requirements and the associated standards for SS7-based services. In 1994, he joined McCaw Cellular in Kirkland, WA (which was later acquired by AT&T).

Peter has developed network standards for wireless and wireline telecom including regulatory standards supporting 911 emergency services and Next Gen 911, Real-Time Text, domestic and international lawful interception, Wireless Priority Service for Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS) users, Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), and other public safety initiatives in ATIS, TIA, and 3GPP. Peter has participated in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) industry activities in GSMA, 3GPP, ATIS, and ASTM. Peter holds a BS Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Virginia, and an MS Electrical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech.

Patrick Castagnino

Connectivity Business Development for Digital Aviation, Airbus

Patrick CASTAGNINO has more than 20 years of connectivity experience working in the aviation industry with multiple roles (Engineering, customer support, Maintenance, Project & Program, Digital Transformation & Connectivity innovation…) . He is now Connectivity Business for Digital Aviation at Airbus with the role to develop the connectivity business for Airbus Commercial and global convergence for AIrbus group: 5G Connected Aircraft, Aircraft remote predictive maintenance and future seamless passenger connectivity, 5G IoT for Manufacturing, Internet-of-Things (IIoT), new technologies.

Leila Zurba Ribeiro, Ph.D.

Chief Scientist for Wireless & Spectrum Evolution, Center for Integrated Transportation, MITRE, MITRE Engenuity

Leila is the Chief Scientist for Wireless & Spectrum Evolution, Center for Integrated Transportation for MITRE Engenuity Open Generation 5G Consortium, which was founded to advance 5G use cases and technological innovation through research and experimentation.

Before joining the consortium, Leila was Chief Engineer for the Aviation Concepts and Research division at MITRE, which included oversight of Communications, Navigation, Surveillance and Spectrum aspects related to civil aviation.

Leila has a background in wireless engineering with a history of solving complex technical problems both for industry and government environments. As part of her work with MITRE, she has led several activities focused on wireless communications, spectrum engineering & policy, satellite & aviation communications, UAS and autonomous systems technologies.

Prior to joining MITRE in 2009, Leila worked as Director of Systems Engineering at CelPlan Technologies, where she developed solutions for design and optimization of cellular networks. Leila holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.

Mike Ross

Chief of Staff, Product Management , Skydio

Mike is the Product Management Chief of Staff at Skydio, the world leader in autonomous flight technology and the first US drone company to be valued at over 2 billion dollars – serving customers ranging from action sports enthusiasts, to Fortune 500 companies, to first responders, to Soldiers, Sailors and Marines.

Prior to Skydio, Mike led Samsara’s telematics product group (NYSE: IOT), focused on enabling customers globally to manage fleet operations and maintenance by leveraging real-time vehicle data in the cloud.

Prior to Samsara, Mike served 13 years in the United States Navy where he flew the F/A-18E as a fighter pilot and developmental test pilot working on a number of projects including the X-47B, the electromagnetic aircraft launch system (EMALS) and the Precision Landing Mode of the F/A-18E/F and E/A-18G. Mike followed his active duty service with a career as a Navy Reservist supporting the Defense Innovation Unit serving in the Autonomy Portfolio, and helping to lead the Defense Innovation Unit Joint Reserve Detachment.

Mike holds a B.S. in computer systems engineering from Stanford, an M.S. in systems engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, and is a graduate of the United States Naval Test Pilot School.
