The GSMA has been actively working with governments and regulators across Africa to provide best practice on harmonise and transition the 800MHz, and in future the 700MHz, band from terrestrial broadcast to mobile broadband use. In June, July and August, the GSMA participated in the Southern African Development Community’s (SADC) Digital Broadcasting Migration Forum, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Digital Migration Summit, and the 3rd ATU African Spectrum Working Group (AFRISWOG) meeting.
