In February 2015, the GSMA and operators in Mexico prepared a formal response to the public consultation from the Mexican regulator IFETEL regarding the 2015 frequency planning. The response was focused on the release of the remaining the AWS spectrum to mobile operators addressing concerns related to spectrum set aside for possible new entrants.
