Concept Phase

At the conception of a new technology, product, service or other solution it is important to ensure that security is built into the design from the very beginning and is carried through during development.

It has been common in the past that security has been an afterthought as the focus in developing a concept has tended to be on functionality. Approaches that build security into the design should be considered as standard practice.

    • Security by Design refers to a series of principles that can be applied during the concept, design and development stages to build security into the solution.
    • Inherent weaknesses in standardised specifications could lead to systematic weaknesses being inherited within the solution or through its interaction with other solutions or networks within the mobile ecosystem.
