The scheme is a combination of the NESAS Product Development & Lifecycle Management Process Audit + the NESAS Product & Evidence Evaluation. Authorised GSMA NESAS Test Laboratories carry out the latter. They evaluate equipment vendors’ network products according to one or several 3GPP Security Assurance Specifications. Along with any additional security requirements that may be defined by GSMA. Equipment vendors may choose from any of the Authorised GSMA NESAS Test Labs.
How can an organisation become a NESAS security test laboratory?
Any network security testing laboratory that is experienced in IT, network and telecommunications security testing, can apply to become a NESAS test laboratory. The laboratory needs to undergo an ISO 17025 accreditation, where a recognised ILAC member ISO 17025 accreditation body assesses its competence in the context of NESAS.
Accredited test laboratories that wish to undertake NESAS product evaluations can inform GSMA of their accredited status and provide a copy of their ISO 17025 certificates.
Current Authorised GSMA NESAS Test Labs
GSMA historically recognises the following security test laboratories as being competent to undertake security evaluation of network products, against relevant Security Assurance Specification (SCAS) documents. All NESAS Test Labs must have ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from their national accreditation body.
