17. Dec. 2013, Yokohama, Japan: 7Layers, a global group of engineering & test centers for the wireless industry,LTE technology has been authorized by KDDI, a growing international communications carrier with a proven track record in Japan to test and certify LTE devices for the KDDI network.
Under the new scheme, KDDI has authorized 7Layers as “KDDI Authorized Testing Laboratory”, because it ideally satisfies the KDDI LTE device testing requirements, and can perform testing based on the scopes of its accreditations.
The 7Layers laboratory in Beijing (P.R. China), supported by the 7Layers location in Yokohama (Japan), has become a KDDI Authorized Testing Laboratory.
Manufacturers can consign the testing to a KDDI Authorized Testing Laboratory, such as 7Layers. “This scheme is ideally suited to support the timely release of new LTE devices”, explains Tadatsune Takei (CEO at 7Layers Japan). “7Layers regards the scheme of KDDI as a very valuable approach. It combines both the interest of the consumers, who want to be equipped with top quality LTE mobile – or smartphones, with the interest of manufacturers, who intend to bring their mobile devices to market as efficiently as possible.”
