Bakcell, The First Mobile Operator and The Leading Mobile Internet Provider of Azerbaijan has launched a new platform, which enables managing bulk SMSs sent to its customers by advertisers.
The new service will help customers to avoid unwanted commercial advertisements. Customers will now be able to set up their personal “white list” with the names of preferred stores, companies, banks or any other relevant accounts and to receive only desired advertisement messages.
By sending STOP to 5595 short code, customers will stop all advertisement messages sent by third parties. However, the customers who want to receive SMSs from trusted sources should send the name of certain shop, bank, etc. to 5595 again.
“The majority of complaints re bulk SMSs were related to advertisers’ messages. Customers are used to give their numbers while purchasing products in shops or in banks and others. In order to please our customers we have launched this new platform that will help them filter the unwanted text messages. One of the best features of the new system is that it provides choice to customers and they can choose which messages to receive.
