BT Group’s Emer Timmons joins Brightstar Corp. as Chief Marketing Officer and President of Strategic Sales

MIAMI and LONDON – Brightstar Corp., with the world’s leading platform for managing mobile devices across the wireless ecosystem, announced today that Emer Timmons has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer and President of Strategic Sales, effective immediately.

After 20 years of international experience in telecommunications, most recently with BT Group, Timmons joins Brightstar to build and sustain the Brightstar brand by spearheading the company’s global marketing organization. She will be responsible for all aspects of marketing for the company from branding through to customer execution.

In addition to marketing, Timmons will lead Brightstar’s customer-first initiatives and development of sales strategy and deals with carrier, retail and enterprise customers and prospects across Brightstar’s footprint of 100 countries.

Timmons held several senior executive roles since joining BT in 2006. From 2010-2015, she led the BT Global Services’ UK business, which included responsibility for corporate customers globally and accountability for a multi-billion UK & Global P&L. From 2015-2016, she served as President of BT Group Strategic Deals and Customer Engagement. In that role, she worked closely with BT Group customers and prospects, and was responsible for delivering deals from £50 million to more than £1 billion in value. Timmons also sits on the UK’s Women’s Business Council ensuring that women have the opportunity to play a full role in the economic life of the nation and is also a Royal Marines Business Ambassador. Timmons has earned many accolades throughout her career, with most recently being named the “2015 Woman of the Year” from the UK Women in IT Awards.
