Comptel Has Won First SaaS Deal for Digital Sales Channel FWD

Comptel Corporation has won the first commercial agreement for its digital sales channel FWD that was officially launched in November 2015. FWD now makes it possible to purchase time‐based data packages from DNA, Finland’s leading provider of prepaid subscriptions, using one’s mobile devices. The transaction value of the deal will be based on the number of DNA subscribers adopting the FWD solution. Comptel sees that in the future the FWD solution has significant potential in prepaid dominant markets.

“This is in many ways a remarkable opening for us. It took only 12 months for our start‐up incubator to bring the FWD solution to the market. Furthermore, this is our first commercial SaaS solution which, at this stage, has the biggest potential in developing data markets ‐ now it is time to discover who will win the race for the next two billion internet users,” says Comptel CEO Juhani Hintikka.
