The award recognizes Sparkle’s leadership in the development and implementation of an LSO strategy that is aligned with the MEF’s Lifecycle Service Orchestration Reference Architecture & Framework
Baltimore/Rome – Sparkle, the international services arm of Telecom Italia Group and among top ten global operators, has been awarded with the MEF’s LSO leadership Worldwide award at the ceremony held in Baltimore on November 8th as part of the MEF16 global networking conference. Sparkle has been selected winner by a prominent panel of senior analysts from ATLANTIC-ACM, Current Analysis, Frost & Sullivan, IHS Markit, Metanoia, Ovum, SDxCentral, and Vertical Systems, among others.
The award recognizes the leading role of Sparkle in adopting MEF’s concept of Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) and implementing a new architecture that enables customers with an end-to-end management of the connectivity solutions purchased.
The first two innovative digital solutions to be introduced, Data Center Interconnect (DCI) and Secure Cloud Interconnect (SCI), will provide customers looking for more scalable bandwidth, capacity and intelligence, with the ability to distribute more efficiently the volume of traffic and transactional data among their own data centers and/or Cloud Provider premises.
Sparkle is the only European company to be part of MEF Board of Directors with its Chairman and CEO Alessandro Talotta, who said that “this award represent an additional acknowledgment for Sparkle as a driving force in the radical IT and Network transformation process the industry is facing with the introduction of Lifecycle Service Orchestration capabilities”.
At MEF16 Sparkle, together with Comcast, ECI, Tata and Viavi has showcased a Proof of Concept Showcase (PoC) featuring leading-edge implementations of agile/dynamic, assured, and orchestrated Third Network services LSO and CE 2.0 innovations.
This Award follows the recognitions as MEF’s “Best Service Innovation-EMEA” and “Best Enterprise Application – Media” that Sparkle received in 2015.
