E-Waste Legislative Framework Map

A successful e-waste management effort largely relies on the governance and policy environment of the country.  An understanding of the policy environment helps mobile operators and partners to set-up more relevant e-waste management projects in their respective countries. To facilitate this knowledge, in late 2019 through to early 2020 the GSMA CleanTech team conducted an e-waste policy study*.

The e-waste legislative framework map allows you to explore 76 countries from the study and access e-waste related policy summaries in a particular market, plus know the country population and the amount of e-waste and mobile phone waste generated in 2019.** You can download the full policy documents by completing the form at the bottom of the page.

Click on any highlighted country on the map and scroll down to learn more.
