Mobile for Humanitarian Innovation Programme
Our mission is to accelerate the delivery and impact of digital humanitarian assistance
The GSMA Mobile for Humanitarian Innovation (M4H) programme works to accelerate the delivery and impact of digital humanitarian assistance. This will be achieved by building a learning and research agenda to inform the future of digital humanitarian response, catalysing partnerships and innovation for new digital humanitarian services, advocating for enabling policy environments, monitoring and evaluating performance, disseminating insights and profiling achievements. M4H marks an evolution and expansion of the GSMA’s disaster response work. The programme is supported by the UK Department for International Development.
The mobile industry continues to grow its engagement and investment in partnerships and solutions that will deliver a digital humanitarian future. Over 147 mobile operators have committed to the GSMA Humanitarian Connectivity Charter, an initiative which strengthens the resilience, preparedness and response capability of connectivity systems in over 106 countries.
This initiative is currently funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), and supported by the GSMA and its members.
