On Wednesday 15 June, the GSMA Connected Women team launched the Mobile Gender Gap Report 2022. At the virtual launch event, Mats Granryd, GSMA spoke with Executive Director Sima Sami Bahous, UN Women about the importance of enabling women to access mobiles and mobile internet, as the world continues to battle the COVID-19 pandemic, alongside numerous other humanitarian crises; her reaction to the latest statistics and findings; and what we should be doing as a community to accelerate the closing of the mobile gender gap.
