The AgriTech programme operates at the intersection of the mobile ecosystem and the development sector to develop, launch and scale commercially viable digital solutions for smallholder farmers that deliver social and environmental impact and promote equitable food systems.

We work with mobile operators and climate resilience service providers to research, understand, test and scale operational and business models for digitally enabled climate resilience services, from weather forecasts and agroclimatic advisory delivered via mobile phones, to agricultural IoT solutions. We also support mobile network operators (MNOs) to maximise use of their existing assets, specifically commercial microwave links (CML) from mobile networks, to produce high resolution rainfall observations.
