Welcome to the GSMA IMEI Database, GSMA IMEI DB™ at imeidb.gsma.com. GSMA IMEI DB™ is operated by GSMA Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the GSM Association, with our principal office at Armour Yards, 165 Ottley Drive, Suite 203, Atlanta, Georgia, 30324, US (“GSMA”, “we”, “our” or “us”).

“You” and “your” means (i) you as a registered user who is authorised to access imeidb.gsma.com in accordance with these terms of use (“Terms of Use”); and (ii) unless expressly stated otherwise, the organisation (as defined in the relevant Services Agreement) on whose behalf you are accessing and using imeidb.gsma.com.

By accessing and browsing this website you agree to be bound by these Terms of use, the GSMA Privacy Policy, GSMA Anti-trust Policy, and any pop-ups or warnings on this website. If you are uncertain about any of these terms, please email [email protected] and we will try to respond to your query as soon as possible.

You may also have a separate agreement(s) with us for your use of GSMA IMEI DB™ (each a “Services Agreement”), for example:

In the event of conflict, the terms of your Services Agreement will prevail over these Terms of Use.

If you wish to use any of our services on this website, you will also be required to agree to the relevant Services Agreement for those services.

IMEI DB™ is Confidential Information

All information on the imeidb.gsma.com and within GSMA IMEI DB™ is proprietary and confidential unless otherwise stated. You must keep confidential all such information (including without limitation the GSMA Device Database™, MSR, MSRPlus, TCR and TCRPlus, and GSMA Block List), and must not disclose that information except as expressly permitted by, and in accordance with the terms of your Services Agreement. You must ensure that (i) the information is clearly marked “Confidential”; (ii) all employees of your organisation preserve the confidentiality of all information; and (iii) the information is kept under secure conditions no less rigorous than those used for your own confidential information.

Unless otherwise authorised by your Services Agreement, you must ensure that the information from GSMA IMEI DB™ is used for no purpose whatsoever other than:
(a) to verify the validity of TACs contained in the International Mobile Equipment Identity Database (the “IMEI Database”) and the identity of mobile devices to which they have been allocated by GSMA to mobile device manufacturers; and
(b) in the case of GSMA Block List™ information, strictly in accordance with the requirements of, and solely for the purposes set out in, the GSMA Mobile Device Crime Data Third Party Access Policy and SG.18 Device Registry Specification and Access Policy.

Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the information must not be used in a manner which could be considered as being harmful or detrimental to GSMA, its members, TAC holding mobile device manufacturers or the GSM Standard (as defined by the relevant European Telecommunications Standards Institute technical specifications, 3GPP Specifications and the Permanent Reference Documents of GSMA).

Basis of IMEI DB™ Information

The GSMA IMEI DB™ contains data pertaining to a range of mobile devices that have been provided to the GSMA by numerous third party data sources, and GSMA does not guarantee the accuracy of GSMA IMEI DB™ data. You acknowledge and agree that the GSMA, its licensors, mobile network operators, and device manufacturers have no responsibility for the accuracy, currency or completeness of the GSMA IMEI DB™ services or data.

GSMA Block List™

If your organisation accesses or contributes to the GSMA Block List™ via imeidb.gsma.com, in which case you agree to comply with (a) the GSMA Mobile Device Crime Data Third Party Access Policy; and (b) the SG.18 Device Registry Specification and Access Policy.

The GSMA Block List™ contains data pertaining to a range of mobile device identities that have been provided to the GSMA by numerous third party data sources. You acknowledge that GSMA provides a platform for the exchange of device data only, and that GSMA does not vet GSMA Block List™ data. You acknowledge and agree that the GSMA, its licensors, contributors, and mobile network operators have no responsibility for the accuracy, currency or completeness of the GSMA Block List™ data. We reserve the right to deny use of the GSMA Block List™ for any reason in our sole discretion. You agree that GSMA Block List™ searches, queries and information may be stored and/or shared with law enforcement agencies, regulatory organisations, and/or security services.

You and GSMA shall treat device identifier-related information exchanged through the GSMA Block List™ as “personal data” for the purposes of data protection regulation. As part of this commitment, each of GSMA and you shall:

You and GSMA agree that the transfer of personal data (including any device identifier or related information) from within the European Economic Area, United Kingdomor Switzerland to any other jurisdiction (save for to a third country subject to an adequacy decision by the European Commission), shall be subject to the Standard Contractual Clauses for the Transfer of Personal Data from the Community to third countries (controller to controller transfers) (Set II) as set out in the Annex to Commission Decision 2004/915/EC (SCCs) . For the purposes of the SCCs, “data importer” means the party receiving the Personal Data; and “data exporter” means the party disclosing the Personal Data; (3) for Section II(h), the data importer selects option (iii); and (4) for Section VIII and Annex B, the details of the transfers shall be as specified in the remainder of this agreement.

GSMA LTD., GSM ASSOCIATION AND MEMBERS OF THE GSM ASSOCIATION (THE “GSMA GROUP”) AND THEIR LICENSORS AND OTHER CONTRIBUTORS DO NOT WARRANT OR REPRESENT THAT THIS SITE OR THE GSMA BLOCK LIST WILL BE ERROR FREE, ACCURATE OR TIMELY, OR OPERATE ERROR-FREE OR WITHOUT FAILURE OR INTERRUPTION, OR THAT ANY COMMUNICATION BETWEEN YOU AND GSMA LTD. WILL BE PRIVATE OR SECURE.

THE GSMA GROUP EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY OTHER REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR RELIABILITY OR AVAILABILITY OF THE GSMA BLOCK LIST OR ASSOCIATED SERVICES.

IN NO EVENT WILL THE GSMA GROUP OR ITS LICENSORS OR CONTRIBUTORS OR ANY PERSON OR ENTITY INVOLVED IN LICENSING, IN CREATING, PRODUCING OR ADMINISTERING THE SITE OR THE GSMA BLOCK LIST, BE LIABLE IN CONTRACT, IN TORT (INCLUDING FOR ITS OWN NEGLIGENCE) OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY (INCLUDING STRICT LIABILITY) FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SIMILAR DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOST PROFITS OR REVENUES, LOSS OF USE, OR SIMILAR ECONOMIC LOSS, ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THIS SERVICES OR THE GSMA BLOCK LIST.

Changes to these Terms of Use

We may from time to time make changes to these Terms of Use, the GSMA Privacy Policy, GSMA Anti-trust Policy, and any popups or warnings. Any changes will be posted on imeidb.gsma.com and notified to you by means of a notice and links to the revised terms on imeidb.gsma.com homepage.

Please review these regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by us. If you use imeidb.gsma.com or submit or request documents for services after changes are notified to you in this way, you agree to such changes. If you do not agree to such changes, you are not authorised to use imeidb.gsma.com and must notify us that you no longer wish to do so, with a brief explanation of the reason(s) why.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property on this website, including without limit, the text, graphics, copyright works and trade marks, and all data provided by this website, is owned by us (or by our third-party content suppliers). We are the exclusive owner of all rights in the compilation, design and layout of this website.Except as otherwise permitted by your Services Agreement with us, you may access, view, reproduce and print the content on imeidb.gsma.com for your internal informational purposes only.

We reserve the right to prohibit links to this website, and you agree to remove or cease any link upon our request. You may not frame any part of the website material, whether by including advertising or other revenue-generating material or otherwise.

We expressly reserve all rights in and to GSMA™, GSMA IMEI DB™, GSMA Device Database™, GSMA Block List™, GSMA Device Registry™ and all other related service marks, trading names or other trade marks relating to our products and services. Other trade marks, products and company names mentioned on imeidb.gsma.com may be trade marks of their respective owners or licensors and the rights in such marks are expressly reserved to the respective owners or licensors.

We may withdraw, suspend, amend or restrict any part or all of imeidb.gsma.com without notice or liability. Access to imeidb.gsma.com is dependent upon availability of the worldwide web and we accept no responsibility for your inability to access imeidb.gsma.com arising out of circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We may disable your access to imeidb.gsma.com at any time in our absolute discretion including, without limitation, if you have failed to comply with the Terms of Use, your Services Agreement or any other reasonable requirements of the GSMA. Only you, personally, as the authorised registered user, are authorised to access imeidb.gsma.com.

Jurisdiction and Governing Law

This website and content has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the laws of Georgia, United States. These terms of use and any matters or disputes connected with this website will be governed by Georgia laws and will be dealt with by the U.S. Courts of Georgia located in Atlanta, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of these courts.

Security of Information

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as totally secure. Whilst we strive to protect such information, we do not warrant and cannot ensure the security of any information which you transmit to us. Accordingly, any information which you transmit to us is transmitted at your own risk. Nevertheless, once we receive your transmission, we will take reasonable steps to preserve the security of such information. You should never share your secure information, password or identifier with any other person.
