Leading Spanish mobile operators Orange, Telefonica, and Vodafone have unveiled two new network API services aimed at combating online fraud and enhancing digital identity protection for mobile customers.

The services, Number Verification and SIM Swap, are part of the global GSMA Open Gateway initiative, which provides a framework for safer app development and communication across mobile networks. These APIs will streamline authentication processes, making online transactions more secure and user-friendly. With cybercrime on the rise in Spain, these initiatives are crucial steps towards ensuring a safer digital environment.

The operators anticipate that these services will not only benefit Spanish customers but also extend to global markets, driving innovation and revenue growth for developers and businesses.
