As the representative body for the entire mobile industry, the GSMA engages with a wide range of governments, UN Agencies, NGOs and international organisations, to amplify the mobile industry’s core messaging. These partnerships are designed to build relationships with governing stakeholders, committees and working groups, to represent the mobile industry’s position in policy debates. Key partners comprise of intergovernmental institutions and multi-stakeholder groups across both developed and developing markets.

These partnerships work to overcome challenges and unlock opportunities for the benefit of citizens across the globe. Topics which are addressed include; digital health, the digital gender divide, digital entrepreneurship, epidemic preparedness, child online protection and connectivity.

The mobile industry is committed to delivering a better future for all; this is underpinned with the fundamental belief that doing good, is good for business. Working in partnerships with governments and international organisations can accelerate and scale mobile operator initiatives, in turn delivering a positive impact locally, regionally and globally to society and the economy.

Convening the public and private sectors to share best practices, provides a platform to showcase innovative technology as a solution to public sector challenges. Working collaboratively furthermore enables a policy environment conducive to innovation, socio-economic growth and sustainable development.

Proactive collaboration between the mobile industry, governments and international organisations, strengthens the collective efforts to build a sustainable and prosperous future for all.
