The GSMA Foundry and IBM are collaborating to support the adoption and skills of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in the telecom industry, including a new opportunity which provides GSMA members with access to IBM’s watsonx.ai.
This platform is intended to help telecom industry players explore innovative industry-specific use cases of Generative AI, enabling members to improve cost leadership, revenue growth and enhance customer experience.
How to participate
Step 1: Register your interest
Fill out the form in the link below to register your interest in the Challenge.
Successful applicants will be contacted by email.
Once your application has been approved, you will receive a unique promotion code and further instructions.
Step 2: Build with watsonx.ai
Following registration approval, participants will be able to explore and utilise the watsonx.ai platform capabilities to develop and test AI use cases to their specific needs. Innovative, high-value projects will receive additional assistance and guidance from GSMA and IBM to further refine their solution and accelerate the development process.
Step 3: Promotion via GSMA Foundry
Participants whose AI initiatives showcase exceptional innovation and impact have the option of being promoted through the GSMA Foundry, including voluntary application for a new GSMA Foundry & IBM AI Challenge GLOMO Award. This prestigious award recognises outstanding achievement in the field of AI within the mobile ecosystem.

Registrations will be open from February and close in May 2024.
Registration is open to all GSMA members. Successful applicants will be contacted by email with further details and a unique promotion code providing access to the platform. Non-members are also permitted to register interest. However, access to the Challenge will require a GSMA membership. Our membership team will reach out to non-member applicants once their details have been reviewed.
