The GSMA hosted an Industry Summit on “Digital Indonesia: Socio-economic Benefits of the Digital Transition and Key Challenges” in Jakarta on Thursday 6 February.

The Summit addressed all the potential benefits available to Indonesia from realising its Digital Transition. It also explained how the benefits of mobile infrastructure continue to advance the interests of the citizens of Indonesia. Benefits include connecting millions more to mobile broadband services, and also fuelling the transformation of traditional industries such as agriculture and manufacturing.

The event was attended by over 160 delegates including governments representatives, industry executives from the mobile industry, national associations and international organisations, interest groups and industry experts.
