In 2024, mobile technologies added $350 billion to MENA’s economy, 5.7% of regional GDP – driven by productivity gains and the broader mobile ecosystem. With 308 million people now online via mobile, advanced networks are powering new consumer and enterprise applications.

Most users connect through 4G (67%), while 5G adoption is accelerating, though uneven across markets. Expanding coverage and the ongoing shift to 4G and 5G continue to shape the region’s technological progress and economic growth.
