MIoT Showcase

The GSMA Mobile IoT Showcase is now closed and entries will no longer be accepted. To find out who won the competition, join the GSMA Global Mobile IoT Summit, where all winners will be announced the day before Mobile World Congress 2017.

The winners represent a diverse range of companies and use cases which further underlines the broad application range of Mobile IoT technologies. All winning entries will be featured on the GSMA Innovation City, Hall 4, at Mobile World Congress 2017, together with the original Mobile IoT development kits from AT&T, Huawei, Intel, Quectel, Sierra Wireless and u-blox.

The Mobile IoT Showcase was a competition initiated by the GSMA Connected Living Programme to enable innovative companies to make their contribution to a connected future built on licensed Mobile IoT solutions. Provided with easy-to-use development kits, this was a unique opportunity for aspiring companies to develop unprecedented products using the latest Mobile IoT standards.

Mobile IoT (licensed spectrum Low Power Wide Area) networks are a high-growth area of the IoT and will play an important role in connecting up the billions of new devices. 3GPP has recently standardised three Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) technologies in licensed spectrum: EC-GSM-IoT, LTE-MTC (LTE-M), and NB-IoT. This is an important step for the development of commercial solutions and will further contribute to an accelerated growth of the IoT.

The GSMA Mobile IoT Innovators community provides an easy way for companies interested in Mobile IoT (Low Power Wide Area) solutions to keep up to date with the latest information and industry developments. Apply now and become a member of the GSMA Mobile IoT Innovators.
