Marc Beltran is a the CEO & co-Founder of the EU Drone Port™. He holds a BSc & MSc in Aerospace Engineering. He has co-founded several drone businesses, worked at the Canadian Center for Aerospace Research in Vancouver, and at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in a project in cooperation with NASA.

Toby Townrow

Co-Founder and Business Development Director, Drone Evolution

Toby Townrow is the co-founder and Business Development Director for Drone Evolution, a UK national drone services provider and developer of new drone tech formed in November 2018. The company recently completed its 1500th flight with a 100% safety record, having flown missions in all four corners of the UK. The Drone Evolution products team have also developed SkyWire, the world’s first tethered drone system that can be powered directly from a vehicle, capable of flying at heights of up to 120m for hours at a time. It is with this tech that Drone Evolution will be entering the 5G market, to provide automated infrastructure inspections powered by IoT.

At Lufthansa Technik he was the single point of contact to Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA) of Germany, Middle East and Asia. Greg Hull is a mobile industry veteran and trusted executive suite advisor on enterprise-grade products, solutions, strategy, revenue, marketing, and operational effectiveness. As an early pioneer in wireless data communications, machine to machine (M2M), and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) he has been engaged in the strategic efforts to enhance the reliability and safety of complex enterprise systems, and to promote the life-cycle management of key enterprise assets and products. His industry tenure has included roles at Time Warner, McCaw Cellular, BellSouth, VeriSign, and other notable corporations in the advancement of mobile communications.

Philippe Vallée

Executive Vice-President, Digital Identity and Security, Thales

Philippe Vallée is a graduate in engineering from Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG) and from the ESSEC business school. He began his career with Matra. Philippe Vallée joined Gemplus in 1992. He held a number of positions in marketing, product management and sales in Europe and in Asia, including Vice-President of Gemplus Technologies Asia based in Singapore. He was afterwards promoted Vice-President of Marketing, and then President of the Gemplus Telecom business unit. He was promoted Chief Technology Officer of Gemalto in 2006, Then, in 2007, he was appointed as Executive Vice-President in charge of the Telecommunications Business Unit until 2013. He was the Company’s Chief Operating Officer from 2014 to 2016, with operational responsibility for all the Company’s businesses. Philippe Vallée was the CEO of Gemalto from 2016 to March 2019, Since March 2019, he is Executive Vice-President, Digital Identity and Security, Thales.

Richard Cockle

Global Head of IoT, Identity and Big Data , GSMA

Richard leads an international team developing new capabilities and revenue opportunities for the mobile sector. Most recently he lead the GSMA programme expanding the business reach of Mobile Identity services with 70 mobile operators in over 30 countries; the services are now being used by over a billion people worldwide.

With over 15 years of experience, leading vital projects in the mobile ecosystem, Richard has an exceptional understanding of the critical challenges faced by the industry. In the past, Richard led the GSMA IoT programme where he secured industry agreements to essential standards for M2M chipset design and remote SIM provisioning. These two are now widely deployed. Richard also has a wealth of experience working with governments and regulators.

In addition, Richard Cockle currently holds an advisory role with HR Tech consultancy SilverCloudHR, where he works with blue-chip companies to develop and implement their HR Tech strategies. Prior to the GSMA, Richard held several technology delivery roles in Vodafone and BT.
