GSMA Digital Industries Forum convenes mobile network operators, industrial enterprises, and the wider ecosystem, to accelerate the benefits of mobile technologies and digitalisation in the industrial sector.

During our upcoming meeting we will include a focus on the role of network APIs for the Industrial sector, industry spotlight with China Telecom and Cisco and a preview of the Manufacturing Summit on the Industry City stage at MWC Las Vegas.

Jo Gilbert

Technical Director & Digital Industries Lead, GSMA

Jo Gilbert is a Technical Director at the GSMA. She leads the GSMA Digital Industries activities which brings together mobile network operators, enterprises, and the wider ecosystem to connect the benefits of 5G in the industrial sector.  With a career spanning 20 years in the telecom sector, Jo has supported organisations to harness new and emerging technologies such as identity, IoT, big data, artificial intelligence and 5G.

Helene Vigue

Identity and Data Director, GSMA

Helene Vigue is Identity and Data Director at the GSMA. Since 2014 she has assisted mobile operators worldwide with their mobile identity initiatives. Her purpose is to connect the mobile identity ecosystem and facilitate collaboration. Before joining the GSMA, Helene held multiple technology and business roles at Orange. This included mobile handset launches, global strategy and digital services delivery.

Bob Everson

Senior Director – 5G Architecture, Cisco Systems

Bob Everson is the Senior Director – 5G Architecture for Cisco Systems, leading strategy, architecture, business development, and partnerships. In this role he and his team are responsible for defining and developing mobile products and solutions across consumer, enterprise, and IOT markets.

Bob’s experience spans diverse areas including RAN, mobile core, transport, large- scale IP networking, hyperscale data centers, software-defined networking, cloud systems, and managed services. Everson helped pioneer open virtualized radio access networks (Open vRAN) and he remains dedicated to ensuring success for operators and enterprises.

Throughout his career, he has remained keenly focused on finding the optimal intersection between innovative technologies, systems evolution, and business transformation. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and loves getting outside perspectives to calibrate his thinking.

Dr. Yao Wei

Director of the Mobile Communication and Terminal Research Department, China Telecom Research Institute

Yao Wei, received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in telecommunication engineering from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, in 2007 and 2010, respectively, and the Ph.D. degrees in Communication and Information System from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, in 2013.

He is currently the Director of the Mobile Communication and Terminal Research Department of China Telecom Research Institute. his research interest includes 5G/6G networks, and the the application of 5G wireless enhancement technology in the vertical industry.
