Connected Living at the European Telemedicine Conference
The GSMA’s Health Vertical Engagement Manager, Robert Childs, will be speaking at the European Telemedicine Conference on Thursday Ocotober 22, on the subject of Telemedicine in European Practice – A Status Report. (ETC Track 1:)
Fifteen regions all over Europe have introduced telemedicine solutions to treat patients with chronic conditions. Since 2012 they have aligned their treatment of patients with diabetes, chronic lung disease and heart disease in the framework of the United4Health project (www.united4health.eu, supported by the European Union). This session will share lessons from telemedicine deployment in real practice: experiences how they have been procured in the open market; how technology has been integrated in existing systems; how care professionals and patients have used these solutions, and how these solutions have evolved.
