Yufei Wang

Edge Computing Project Manager, China Mobile

Yufei Wang holds a master’s degree from BUAA. She joined China Mobile in 2016, and currently focuses on Edge Computing architecture, platforms and applications. Yufei is also active within the areas of 3GPP and NGMN and also works closely with the GSMA.

Dr. Jennifer Huang

Senior Director of 5G Industry Development, Huawei

Dr. Jennifer Huang works on 5G industry development at Huawei, with a role of investigating 5G market opportunities, developing 5G2B pilot projects in smart manufacturing and promoting 5G eco-systems for business success. She is also skilled in the fields of Industrial IoT, Intelligent Video Surveillance and Public Security.

Dr. Huang has more than 20 years’ experience and in-depth knowledge in ICT industries. Prior to joining Huawei, she has worked for Nokia, Ericsson, etc., with several key positions in research, technology management, strategy planning and customer consultancy.

Dr. Huang received her PhD with honors in Electronic and Computer Engineering from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Jan Rijk Vonk

Innovation Strategy Director, KPN

With over a decade of experience as a strategist and innovator at KPN, the Dutch Telecom incumbent, Jan Rijk fathered projects such as the API Store and the IoT Academy, connecting corporate silos with natural ease. He is a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who can shift paradigms in order to create value propositions for a company. Jan-Rijk has been a robotics aficionado within the telco space for the last few years.

Having grown up in a rural area, Jan Rijk has a soft spot for anything AgTech. Although educated in Business Administration, Economics, Philosophy and Sociology, he remained true to the geek part within himself. Jan-Rijk truly believes we could create a world of abundance with new technology – for example, combining 5G with robotics. There is one prerequisite in order to do so: the only way forward is sharing, be open but do not give away corporate secrets.

Brendan Ives

VP and Head of Division X , Telia Company

Brendan Ives leads the growth & innovation arm of Telia Company where he is spearheading efforts in areas such as IoT, Data Insights and eHealth. He is also active on a number of boards spanning the tech, telecoms and finance sectors.

Prior to his appointment in July 2016, Brendan spent three years as CEO of Telia Carrier, the culmination of 14 years transforming a Nordic carrier into one of the world’s leading fiber backbone providers.

Originally from New Zealand, Brendan received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Canterbury and has since spent time studying at both Kellogg School of Management and Singularity University

Aruna Srinivasan

Executive Director, IoT, GSMA

Aruna Srinivasan is the Executive Director of IoT Capabilities at the GSMA. Ms. Srinivasan directs the IoT Big Data, Edge Computing and 5G IoT Manufacturing initiatives, working with mobile operators and ecosystem partners to develop new technology enablers and drive market adoption. Ms. Srinivasan has over 18 years of strategy, technology and programme delivery experience with the GSMA, Third Horizon Consulting, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Australia Gas Lighting and Arthur Andersen Consulting. She holds Bachelor of Software Engineering and Master of Commerce degrees from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
