Manufacturing is undergoing a major generational shift. Industry 4.0, the digitisation and advancement of the manufacturing processes and ecosystem, is set to create far more flexible, efficient and sustainable production lines. 5G for IoT underpins this transformation by enabling manufacturing companies and their supply chain partners the opportunity to utilise emerging technologies such as AI and machine vision to give vastly improved visibility over all aspects of their business. This session will focus on how modern 5G networks are able to provide a tailored, capable and intelligent solutions to enhance the end to end manufacturing process.

Responsible for developing new business opportunities at global level in IoT, 5G & new connectivity, AI & Blockchain. During the last 2 years responsible for the Industry 4.0 Business area.

Responsible for connectivity business in Telefónica during the last 4 years (18 Mll IoT lines around the world), including the Telefónica IoT Platform Global Product Area (KITE), IoT Partners Program & Business Technology Area) and part of the IoT World Alliance Executive Board, GSMA Connecting Living Group.

For 8 years he implemented and managed the ERP/PDM information systems in EADS (Airbus), later he joined Telefónica in 1999 where he was responsible for IT and Security in Quam Switzerland (TEF Mobile Operations). For 8 years in different organizations in Telefónica (Spain and Latam Corporation & MNCs), managed the Presales Area in the Corporate/Multinationals segment, focus in the B2B business.

Angus Ward

Angus brings 30 years of consulting and solutions experience to his role, supporting organizations across multiple industries in shaping strategies and adopting platform-based business and operating models with differentiating partner ecosystems. Bosco Novak

“Making ideas real and bringing tomorrow’s technology into today’s infrastructure.” Within Rohde&Schwarz, Bosco Novak is responsible for the Technology Systems division, designing and implementing technology solutions for industry, critical infrastructure and governments.

Bosco is a veteran in the telecom infrastructure market. Prior to joining Rohde&Schwarz he held various executive positions at Ericsson, Nokia and Nokia Siemens Networks.

Over the past years, Rohde&Schwarz has received multiple national and European awards for their extensive supply chain operations. The company is utilizing their own factory network as a platform to develop, pilot and industrialize the new technologies for industry 4.0, e.g. IIOT, Network and Wireless Technologies, Big-Data Analytics, Process Automation, IT- and cyber security, network testing and optimization. In its Bavarian plant, Rohde&Schwarz operates its own 5G network which allows the direct connection between the first-hand operational experience with the product development labs.

Elise Neel

Senior Vice President, New Business Incubation, Verizon

Elise Neel, Senior Vice President, Verizon New Business Incubation, is harnessing her fiercely curious builder mindset to scale new software automation businesses fueled by the orchestration power of the 5G future.

Elise’s team houses industry experts across strategy, product, technology, sales, marketing and R&D in the areas of location technology, aerial and terrestrial robotics, industrial IoT, and other emergent technologies. Bringing to bear her experience in new business development, big data platforms, geospatial intelligence, analytics, and IoT, the transformative work she’s leading is directly fueling Industry 4.0.

In addition to leading New Business Incubation, Elise recently led the Global Lead of the Women’s Association of Verizon Employees (WAVE) employee resource group. With more than 13,000 members in 32 countries, WAVE is a pivotal advocate for women at Verizon, arming members with real-life skills, training, and leadership development opportunities.

Hakim Achouri

5G Solution Architect & Co-Chair of GSMA Digital Industries Forum, Airbus

Hakim Achouri joined Airbus 1.5 years ago as a 5G Solution Architect in the Digital Transformation & IM Teams. His work consists in building the strategy, roadmap and the right architecture towards a 5G connected Factory and he also acts as a Technical Authority on the 5G Connected Aircraft building data & user centric solutions for factory digitalization, Aircraft remote predictive maintenance and future seamless passenger connectivity. Before this he worked 6 years in the UK for McLaren Applied Technologies as a Principal Telecommunication Engineer, building solutions to connect Trains (Virgin Trains, Japanese Bullet Trains, Formula 1 telemetry). Before this he spent 10 years at Orange R&D in the Wireless Access Networks Teams doing research and building innovative solutions for fast moving vehicles connectivity V2V/V2X. Hakim has several patents around multiple wireless links aggregation, handovers, etc.

Nicolas Damour

Senior Director for Strategic Partnerships , Sierra Wireless

Nicolas Damour is Senior Director for Strategic Partnerships at Sierra Wireless, responsible for innovation projects with industry partners and market adoption of next generation IoT technologies and services. He has been working at Sierra Wireless for twelve years, strengthening the company’s position as global provider of field-to-cloud IoT solutions that include hardware, connectivity and cloud services. He is currently chairing the GSMA IoT Terminal Steering Group.

Stephane Gervais

Executive VP Strategic Innovation, LACROIX Group

Stephane has worked in the high-tech industry for multi-national companies in Europe and in Asia. He is now EVP Strategic Innovation, smart data & partnership at LACROIX Group : Industrial Internet-of-Things (IIoT), new technologies, electronics, smart mobility and smart city are some of his favorite’s topics.

Stéphane holds a Doctorate degree (Ph. D) in Electronics from the University of Bordeaux (France) and an MBA degree from Newcastle University, Australia.

Tom Loozen

Before joining EY, Tom held various leadership positions with a major global consultancy and in the telecoms industry, including Global Telecom Industry Lead; Telecom, Media & Technology Lead for the Netherlands; and Chair of the Diamond Client Forum, a global community of the largest accounts across industries.

Tom holds an MSc in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management.

 

Aruna Srinivasan

Executive Director, IoT, GSMA

Aruna Srinivasan is the Executive Director of IoT Capabilities at the GSMA. Ms. Srinivasan directs the IoT Big Data, Edge Computing and 5G IoT Manufacturing initiatives, working with mobile operators and ecosystem partners to develop new technology enablers and drive market adoption. Ms. Srinivasan has over 18 years of strategy, technology and programme delivery experience with the GSMA, Third Horizon Consulting, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Australia Gas Lighting and Arthur Andersen Consulting. She holds Bachelor of Software Engineering and Master of Commerce degrees from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
